MDI affiliate UCCA partnered with the Green Garage and Motor City Brewing Works to develop a plan for the creation of Detroit’s first “Green Alley,” between Second Ave and Cass Ave.  The “Green Alley” will connect to the Midtown Loop, and incorporate storm water retention, native plants, historic pavers, and induction lighting.  Construction is scheduled to begin in Spring 2010.

The organization would like to thank the funders of this project, which include the Kresge Foundation, the Americana Foundation, and the DTE Energy Foundation.
