Detroit — A new $20 million project planned for the Selden Corridor in Midtown will feature mixed-income rental housing, a new public courtyard, flexible work and classroom space and a brewery training program. 

Midtown Detroit Inc. and its partners Wednesday announced the $20 million investment for the Selden Corridor Initiative.

Cass Corridor location is first outside Grand Rapids for 20-year-old brewer

A $4 million project to renovate a vacant 14,000-square-foot building in Detroit's Cass Corridor for Founders Brewing Co. is expected to begin this summer.

About 100 people attended a Tuesday event to announce the Grand Rapids-based brewery's planned taproom at 456 Charlotte St. at Cass Avenue. Crain's reported the redevelopment Monday evening.

$110 Million Cancer Center Launches Detroit Campus Expansion

DETROIT – Henry Ford Health System announced plans today to build a $110 million cancer center as part of a $500 million expansion and neighborhood improvement initiative on 300 acres in Detroit, marking another key development in the city’s revitalization and growth.

The planned five-story, 144,000 square-foot cancer center will include a rooftop garden and skywalk to connect it to Henry Ford Hospital. Opening is expected in summer 2018.
