The Blue Effect is a Jam/Psychedelic Rock band from Detroit, making waves and on the rise. Their unique sound features vocals reminiscent of Jim Morrison, the jamming guitar of The Grateful Dead, and a little influence from Sublime as well.

A River of Renewal Film Screening

On Monday, March 19, the University of Michigan Detroit Center is proud to present the documentary, A River of Renewal. The screening will take place in the South Studio of the U-M Detroit Center from 6pm-7:30pm, with complimentary admission, parking and light refreshments for all attendees.

Nearly an entire block of Cass Avenue at Canfield will be renovated into a mixed-use green-friendly development offering apartments and retail spaces.  The $12 million Auburn development, which broke ground last week, is being developed by the Roxbury Group and partners Invest Detroit and Midtown Detroit Inc.
